First post of the year!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone's recovering from their night of partying.

I LOVE the first of January. There's nothing like it, is there? There's a whole year stretching out in front of me and I know that I'm going to make the very best of it. The most exciting part? I'm not going to be alone on the journey.

And check this out:

Me llamo Will. Necesito un maletero.

Heh. That's sort of a joke since that's supposed to say, "My name is Will. I need a porter." I'm a dork. But I am going to try and learn a few little phrases every day.

----

For Orli:

I love the way you rub your eyes when you first wake up in the morning.

(I'm serious about telling you something every day, sweetie.)

Remind me to tell you of the Scotsman who passed out drunk under a tree sometime.

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
Whilst he slept two young ladies came up and were overcome with curiosity to see what lay under a man's kilt. so they lifted it and took a peek. As a joke, they decided to leave a token of their 'visit' and one wrapped her blue hair ribbon around him.

A while later, the Scotsman awakened and stood to relieve himself. Raising his kilt and looking down as he took the matter in hand as it were, he spied the ribbon. "I dinna know where ya been, laddie." He said to his beribboned member. "But I can see ya won first prize."

*bursts out laughing* I love it!

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
I can tell I'll need to coax you and your Sassenach to Scotland so I can get you properly drunk and regale you wie every naughty joke and song I know and that would be a right many.

*wicked giggle*
You know if you marry the lad, you can always use that for your something blue. I'd be most happy to help you tie the ribbon.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
*giggles* I'd be tempted to try and tie it with my mouth. I'll let you know if I need a hand.

I do want to take him back to Scotland sometime so we can really enjoy it as a couple. My first trip was over so quickly.

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Then come over, laddie. I've a wee cottage in the Highlands by Loch Katrine where you could bide a wee and it's far enou' back of beyond that the press laddies would be hard charged to find ye.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I'll talk to Orlando and seriously consider that, Kate. Thanks!

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Just let me know when, darlin' lad and I'll pop up and ready the place. And if you decide to take in a bit of the night life, you can motor down to Edinburgh and I'll show you where to find a bit o' fun.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
You're going to be quite the hostess! Seriously, you're so sweet to us.

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh but darlin', I'll be the perfect hostess and leave you a full larder, a car to drive and and a nice empty cottage so the two of you can be alone, with no one the wiser where in the world you've run off tae. You want to see my smiling face, you can motor off down tae Edinburgh, where my house is, other than that you two will be all to your ownsome, just the Loch, the cot and the sheep.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god, that sounds like heaven!

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Then name the day, laddie and I'll have everything ready.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
I think we'll definitely have to make it a stop when we start our traveling. I'll let you know!

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Ooo traveling, where do you plan to go first?

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
We threw a dart at a map of the world and it landed on Qatar. But I'm thinking somewhere a little more beach-y and less war adjacent.

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I would pick a slightly less unstable place, myself.
*giggles*
Besides, they really don't make good mojitos there.

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Meself, I'd take the tropics and the Orient. I always love it when a job takes me there.

locked from the authorities

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You've really traveled the world being a thief?

Re: locked from the authorities

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
*laughs*
Dear heart, I've stolen wee baubles from the wealthy on every continent. Don't worry for them, they can well afford to lose what I take and more beside and I'm verra choosy about the comissions I take on.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
That's amazing to me. I couldn't do it, and I shouldn't think it's cool, I'm sure, but...it's cool!

Re: locked from the authorities

[identity profile] thief-caitir.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
*grinning*
Aye, it's an wicked wench that I am and the worst is I havenae shame in it.

*serious*
Thieving and other things kept me from starving while I was alone and mun shift for meself, but you mun think me an amoral lass, for I never did hurt to a soul nor maltreated any. Those I steal from are wicked and callous in their own right and have nae true claim to the treasures I take or at least nae more than those who pay me to take them.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't judge what you've had to do to survive because it's not as if I'm some moral authority. Just be careful! If the people you take things from are wicked and callous, they probably wouldn't think twice about hurting you.

Dinna fash yourself, laddie, I've yet to ever even be seen. I am a sneak thief after all, what I believe you Yanks call a cat burgular.
