HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone's recovering from their night of partying.

I LOVE the first of January. There's nothing like it, is there? There's a whole year stretching out in front of me and I know that I'm going to make the very best of it. The most exciting part? I'm not going to be alone on the journey.

I have learned, like Saint Paul, whatever state I am in, therewith to be content and so I'll content me with flirting outrageously with both my handsome laddies and leave the actual loving between the two of you.

I've gone and fallen for yet another man who loves someone else. You'd think my marriage to Callum would hae cured me of even looking at a man already in love.

He was mad for a girl from Glasgow and well I knew it, but when she turned him down, he asked me to marry him and fool that I was I accepted.

It dinna end well and the only thing I'm thankful of is that we had no bairns to suffer for our daftness.

That's sad, Kate, but you learned a valuable lesson, I'm sure. Sometimes we have to make mistakes to learn not to make them again. I hate that, by the way.
