New York: Open to anyone who'd like to run into him

[ooc: Will and I didn't want to set up anything specific without finalizing with muns/pups first, so feel free to run into him here, even if you don't know him and are just in the New York area. Hell, even if you just want to run by and shout "dork!" at him, feel free.

BTW, Christine, Eve and Billie can assume he called them :-) No rush or time limit, so no worries if you're busy/not interested.]

Will was staying in a hotel in Manhattan while he was there for his adventure of meeting his new friends. He'd called everyone who'd shown interest in meeting him but with whom he hadn't had a chance to finalize any plans for meeting. His messages had been short and basically said he'd be in the lounge and bar area. If they didn't catch him there, they could reach him on his cell.

Nursing a scotch, sitting at the bar and looking at the people who came in, Will felt happy to just be there. He loved New York. If he didn't miss Kevin so much, he'd probably stay for another week. For now, though, he'd enjoy the time he had left and keep people watching.

Eve scanned the foyer of the hotel then the lounge, dialling the number Will had left on his voicemail and holding her phone to her ear as she moved to where she could see into the bar too. Her sunglasses still in place she listened to see if she could hear the electronic chirp of a cellphone, or someone reaching for one.

Will sat up a little straighter when his phone rang, and reached into his jacket to pull it out. Flipping it open, he turned away from the particularly loud couple sitting next to him to answer it.

"Hello?"

[identity profile] lost-la-femme.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
She spied the man moving to take the phone out of his pocket and smiled to herself as she walked nonchalantly into the bar as she spoke, moving around outside his peripheral vision till she was behind him.

"Hey there. Heard you were in town and hanging out at bars seeing who you might pick up," she drawled huskily into the phone.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
It took a moment for him to register that he wasn't just hearing the voice on the cell, and when he turned around to see the beautiful blonde holding a phone, he smiled brightly.

"Hey, stranger!"

[identity profile] lost-la-femme.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
She laughed as she closed her phone and slid it back into the pocket of her leather jacket. Her passengers this day were the more 'modern' corporate tyes and preferred the 'non-business' look, so the leather jacket was her one concession to not appearing 'business like'. She also liked it as it allowed her to carry her weapon in a more accessible place, still well concealed.

"Hello there. So they finally let you off your leash long enough to get over here, hmm?"

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
He stood up and gave her a kiss on the cheek before indicating the empty stool next to him.

"That they did," he nodded, slipping his phone back inside his jacket. "I might have been tempted to get creative with some money transfers if they gave me a hard time about coming out here," he grinned. "What are you drinking?"

[identity profile] lost-la-femme.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Lemon soda, thanks," she replied, glancing at the bartender with a smile, taking a seat on the stool Will indicated. "Well, if you ever need to do that, just let me know and I can arrange a few accounts you can deposit it to, and it'll never be found."

She surprised herself with how easily that proposal sat, as if it was 'normal'. She shrugged it away and looked back at Will. "What would you do with it? If you had unlimited funds? Nice little condo by the sea for you and Kev?"

Snake had enough of shopping. Nothing irked him more then slow lines, slow cashiers and annoying women in the stores. It took every ounce of control not to shoot someone especially in the designer places. Sighing he hit the bar in the first place he found. It was a hotel, not his first choice but he'd drink anywhere at the moment. Getting a scotch he turned to look at all the people in the place and they annoyed him too. Snake rolled his eye turning back to the bar when he swore he saw a familiar face a few seats down.

Shrugging he walked over and smiled recognizing Will.

Didn't know you were up 'round here.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey, there!" Will's face lit up in a surprised smile when he saw Snake.

"Yeah, this is where I'm staying. What're you doing here?" he asked, pointing at the stool next to him. "Got time to sit and have another drink?"

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_call_me_snake_/ 2006-05-13 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Snake held up a bright pink bag staring at it before laughing. Just shopping for the girl. Biggest pain in the ass this town has to offer

Snake sat down next to Will and nodded. There's always time for another drink.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Will grinned at the sight of the bag. "Takes a real man to tote that stuff around, you know. What did you buy?"

He signaled for the bartender. "What's your poison?"

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_call_me_snake_/ 2006-05-14 10:25 am (UTC)(link)
Snake smirked. Yeah, especially when it's lingerie.

Scotch.

You here for a vacation?

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, vacation. I came out to see my mom and my best friend," Will said, ordering a couple more scotches. "And I wanted to meet a few people in person. It's pretty lucky that you ran into me here."

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_call_me_snake_/ 2006-05-15 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Xena tells me if you sit in any bar long enough you'll run into me. Don't know if that is so much a compliment or a complaint.

[identity profile] prettysavvygirl.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Billie had never been to New York. She'd heard about it. She'd totally seen it on TV. Hello, backdrop for TRL? Yeah. Regardless, she was a tad nervous. And, did Will even know how she was getting from San Francisco to New York? Hmm. Maybe it was better to let him assume... whatever it was he might assume. Her sister would get upset if she told their secret... again.

She closed her eyes and tossed the potion vial onto the floor. She stepped into the small cloud of smoke that appeared and focused on Will. She opened her eyes and glanced around. Thankfully, she'd magically appeared in a dark corner that no one seemed to take notice of. Huzzah for small favors.

Oh, a bar. She finally noticed that. She pouted; she really needed to invest in a fake id. Of course, she wasn't really sure how drunken potion teleportation would work out...

"Will!" she squealed, all sorts of high-pitched and cute. Silly Billie.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Will wasn't the only one who turned around when he heard his name, but he was the only one who didn't leer at the cute blonde and look as if he wanted to go in for the kill. Quickly getting up, Will waved and went over to her, glaring at a few older men who were obviously checking out the young woman.

"Hey, Billie," he smiled at her, then immediately snapped, "Get lost," at some lech who'd started to protest that Will was horning in on his pick up. "Come on," he said to the girl, "you can sit at the bar with me."

[identity profile] prettysavvygirl.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Leering! Well, it had been awhile. There hadn't been much time between school, magic, and destiny lately for any sort of social interaction. She was nearly flattered by the leering. Nearly.

Ah, but Will would most definately never leer. And that? Made her happy. Beyond words. She beamed at him, much to the dismay of the random men who still sort of glanced her way. "Okiedokie," she replied. "Ya know, if you ever come to visit me, there's this great club/bar place called P3. You'd totally like it."

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah? I'll have to keep that in mind," Will smiled at her as he led her to the bar. "When did you get in to New York?" he asked, a little distracted. It really bothered him that men old enough to be her father were checking her out. Then again, it wasn't really his business. "You've definitely made an impression on this lot."

[identity profile] prettysavvygirl.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, about two minutes ago, she thought, but she decided to keep that thought to herself. Will would definately need a few drinks in his system before she could really think about telling him just how she got there. And, even then, he might just freak out. Hmm.

"I got here not too long ago..." she said, not really lying. "My sense of time is a little messed up since I'm like four hours ahead now or something? Yeah. Totally confusing."

She giggled, "Most of them are kind of drunk, and well, the drunk are impressionable. Such is the life of a blonde, college freshman."

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Will smiled, charmed by the giggle. "I have a feeling they'd be like that even if they were all sober. You're very pretty." He waved over the bartender. "Would you like a soda or something? Or some food? Or... Is there anywhere you'd like to go?"

[identity profile] prettysavvygirl.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"You are so sweet!" Billie cooed, playfully kissing him on the cheek. "If all boys were as nice as you, life would be much better!"

She twirled a strand of her blonde hair around her finger for a moment, then grinned. "Well, I've never been to New York before. So, I'm pretty much up for anything."

[identity profile] a--nightingale.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Christine Wayne stepped out of the car and blew the driver, Alfred, whom was very much like a father to her, a kiss and a promise to call when she was ready. "And do be careful, Madame Wayne. You never know what sort you will encounter online."

"Will's a sweetie. I'll be careful though."

She entered the hotel and moved to the bar and lounge, searching for her friend, and picking him out relatively easily.

"Will?" She asked, caustiously, to assure she was correct. "Will Porter?"

And the Wayne wife smiled. "Christine Wayne." she told him.

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Will immediately stood, smiling excitedly when he realized who it was.

"Christine, you made it!" he said, leaning in to give her a kiss on each cheek. "It's so good to see you in person, finally."

[identity profile] a--nightingale.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
"How could I not?" She kissed each of his cheeks in turn in Parisian tradition and laughed. "It's nice to see you as well, Will. Look at you! Many a woman (and man) must be envious of your Kevin."

"How are you? How do you like New York?"

[identity profile] ex-will-port106.livejournal.com 2006-05-16 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Will blushed at the compliment. "I could say the same thing for Mr. Wayne," he smiled.

"And as for New York, I think it's great! There's no way I'll ever have enough time to see everything."
