Valentine's Day with his Boo

Will had woken Orlando on the holiest of days with a little loving followed by a picnic breakfast for them both in bed. Then, after showering and dressing, he'd thrown some clothes for the both of them into a case and told Orlando to dress warmly because he was being kidnapped and taken across the state line.

The drive was long, almost five hours once they finally found the place and pulled up in front of the cottage Will had rented for a few days. He wanted privacy, peace and quiet for them both. If they felt like it, there was skiing nearby, and the main inn had a dining room if they chose not to stay in to dine.

Will opens the door and shuffles Orli in out of the cold. He's pleased to see that the roses he'd asked for are on the kitchen table.

"Happy Valentine's day, baby," he grins, kicking the front door shut and pulling Orlando into his arms.

"It's okay. I know you don't like Valentine's Day. I mean, I found out before we left, but by then it was too late to change our plans." He kisses Orli's hair and inhales slowly. "Why don't you relax, I'll get us a couple of drinks and we can talk?"

Orlando takes his hand. "I like every day with you," he explains. "Thank you for this. It's exactly the sort of getaway I love."

Will smiles and kisses Orli's hand. "I love every day with you, sweetheart, you know that. It's..." He shrugs and gets up. "This is my first Valentine's Day with someone I really and truly love. And then I find out he hates the holiday."

He walks over to the small kitchen and looks in the cupboards. As requested, they'd been stocked with the items he'd requested, including a bottle of his favorite scotch.

Orlando waits on the bed and feels like shit. "I'm sorry, Will."

Shaking his head, Will pours drinks for them both. "It's okay, baby," he says, taking Orli his drink and sitting next to him. "I mean, you're entitled to dislike any damn holiday you choose." He puts an arm around Orlando's shoulders and nuzzles his ear. "It's something I should have found out instead of making assumptions."

"No," Orlando says quietly. "You went to all this trouble, and now I'm ruining it. It's stupid and selfish of me."

"You're not ruining anything," Will says softly, "and you're not stupid or selfish. I just want to spend time alone with you so we can snuggle and talk get all mushy." He smiles. "Seriously, baby, I just assumed since the majority of people in relationships like Valentine's Day, you would, too, and I was looking forward to having a special day with you. That's all. I was wrong."

Orlando gives him a little smile. "I like the snuggling and being mushy," he admits. "I just think it should be every day."

"I hate to break it to you, sweetlips, but I think it is every day." Will chuckles softly and give Orli a little kiss. "It's just not always in a cottage."

"But it could be. Maybe we should look at house plans and have something built, just for us?"

Will grins at him. "Are you serious?"

Orlando smiles. "Yeah, I think I am!" He laughs. "Maybe we could get something overlooking the ocean, and build a place we pretty much design ourselves! Nothing big, but sort of homey."

"Oh my god!" Will giggles and gives Orli and smacking kiss. "Baby, that's a brilliant idea! Pete knows an architect who could work with us so everything's done exactly the way we want it." He laughs again. "Do you see why I think you're so smart? Building a house for us never even crossed my mind."

Orlando beams at him, mood completely turned around. "This will be so much fun! We can have swatches of everything!"

"We're going to be so busy this year, baby," Will says, looking even more excited by that thought. "We've got the wedding to--" He stops. "Okay, honey, we need to set a date."

"Well, when do you want to do it?" Orlando asks.

"Any time before January first of next year," Will laughs. "I was going to see if you wanted to get hitched here, but why don't we do it as far from February fourteenth as possible?"

Orlando laughs. "Maybe the summer?"

"Summer sounds good," Will nods, "but we have to avoid a lot of summer dates because of other things that happened."

Orlando looks concerned. "We can avoid anything you want, baby. We can wait til the fall if that's better."

Will takes Orlando's hand in his and takes a little sip of his scotch. "I know you had a horrendous summer, baby," he sighs. "With everything you lost, I don't want you thinking about it on a day that should be absolutely perfect for you."

Orlando smiles at him. "That sort of concern is why I love you so very much, sweetheart."

Will leans in to kiss him, nuzzling his mouth. "You'd do the same for me," he murmurs, "and that's why I love you. We love each other, but more importantly, we care about each other."

Orlando grins at him. "I have an idea. What if we get married on September 1st?"

Will's eyes widen. "Baby, that would be perfect! Yeah," he grins, nodding. "Let's do it. September 1st."
