Miss them.

I've got to see about taking a vacation. I've been here for almost 7 months, but I still have vacation time accrued from when I was in Connecticut.

I could go out to visit Pete and Mom and stop off in New York to meet some of the other folks I've been talking to.

Vacations are good. You should take one.

*nods* The more I think about it, the more I want to do it. My assistant can cover for me. And if I bring her back something nice, she'll forgive me. *grins*

Presents are always the way to go. Nice exotic chocolates or something. *chuckles*

Possibly jewelry, depending on how long I'm gone.

Jewelry is good too. Also, depending on where you go, they might have some sort of specialty gem or jewel for the area.

Hey, that's a really good tip. She'll have to love me if I'm that thoughtful.

So do you have some idea of where you'd go?

I have to go to Connecticut to check in with family and friends, but as for New York... Once I know when I'm going, I'll ask who wants to meet up with me while I'm out there. I don't know exactly where everyone is! I just know that New York seems to be the place to be for a lot of folks.

New York is pretty cool. I've been there a couple times, but I've only seen a fraction. I hear the weather started getting less winterlike too.

That's something else to consider. I would like it to be a little warmer when I go.

Miami is nice this time of year. Not too humid, but very warm.

I've always wanted to go to Miami. I don't know anyone down there, though. Do you go there a lot?

Not so much anymore. I used to when I was a kid. You know, spring break and stuff.

Oh, yeah. I did Mexico or home for spring break. I should get to Miami one of these days.

Oh yeah, I went to Mexico a few times too. I'm from Texas, so it's too close not to go.

Seriously, one summer, when I was a kid, my dad took us on vacation and we went to Dallas. He wanted to see the actual ranch. I still have my JR Ewing money somewhere.
