Random Fic Prompt: Favorite Headmate
This is a tricky question for me. There are a few of them to choose from, and I don't know some of them well enough to make a fair choice. As far as the, er, headmistress is concerned, I'm the third oldest when it comes to writing about us or playing with us. I'm also her current favorite, but I think that's only because I give her the least amount of trouble. Really, it's not the others' faults if they have needs. That's the way she made them.
I suppose the best way to do this is to talk this out and see if I can come up with a favorite.
There's the female law enforcement type. If I were straight, I'd probably want to go out with her because she's strong and she can be funny once in a while. She's a little too serious most of the time, though. But I do like her and I'd like to get to know her.
There's the strange English woman. She's a bit too self-absorbed for me, so I can definitely count her out. She can be funny in a cartoonish, over the top sort of way, but I'm not sure I'd ever want to sit down and talk to her.
There's the quiet, spiritual man who seems sweet but always seems to be pushed aside. I'd say he should have more of a backbone, but he does have one. He just chooses not to use it because he doesn't really see himself as anything more than a sidekick. When there's no one at his side, he doesn't really have a purpose. I'd say he was my favorite, but he's pretty tight-lipped about some things and a little hard to read.
There's the goddess who can't decide if she's good or bad. I take that back. She's bad, but she has her good moments. It's entirely arbitrary when it comes to the people she takes a shine to, though. Too much unpredictability with that one. I just hope she doesn't decide to smite me in some way.
There's the street kid who's trying to get his life together but hasn't quite figured out how to do it. If I ever need a quick roll in the hay, I could go to him, but that's not really enough to warrant favorite status. Sweet guy, just way too young for me.
There's the male law enforcement type. He'd good-looking, smart, funny, friendly and a little twisted. In some ways, he's a little pathetic, but I can't really lay all the blame on him for that. He's gone through a lot. If we were friends, there would be a lot of baggage. If we were lovers, there'd be even more, I'm sure, but I always have the urge to try and fix him. It's silly. We've only spoken a few times, but I think we'd have the most potential to be friends.
There's the male anti law enforcement type who's... Let's just say he's pretty intimidating and I don't really see what she sees in him. But she's been writing him longer than she's been writing me, so I'm not about to argue. She could always hit that delete key and send me on my way.
Then there are all the people from my world, so I can't count them. I obviously love them all (except for Talia and my father), so they'll be left out of the running.
All right, after some thought, I'd have to go with male law enforcement type guy as my favorite. Though, it could be because I'm currently dating a cop and there's bias.
