She laughed softly as the lift slowed, approaching the roof. "Gotta love an enthusiastic passenger!" she told him as the doors slid open. Sunlight flooded the lift car, and they stepped out into the glass-enclosed rooftop waiting area. Two helicopters were sitting on the large, concrete area, their rotor blades tied down. There was another pilot, sitting in the lounge area flicking through a magazine, the picture of boredom. With a quick jerk of her head toward the door she led Will out onto the helipad and across to the blue machine sitting furtherest from the building.

"In you get, and don't touch anything," she told him, the instruction clearly not to be even questioned, let alone ignored. "And first test is to see if you can fasten your own harness. Don't worry if you can't, I'll lend a hand. You'd cause too much damage if you came loose during the flight," she added as she closed the door and proceeded to carry out her preflight checks, releasing the rotor and climbing into the left hand seat.

"How'd you go?" she asked, looking down at his lap.
