ooc: posting late! ETA: My brain's been fried from NO friggin' sleep, and I should still be making OOC and RP posts public. It's only Will's journal entries/musings/memes (anything he'd be afraid for Kevin to see) that have to be locked in order to be true to his current situation. Got it? Good, because I don't know how to make it clearer. :-) This announcement will be on all the entries I'm unlocking so I don't get any "I thought his LJ was locked" griping.



Will doublechecks that he has everything he needs for the airport. "You ready, baby?" he calls into the kitchen.

"As ready as I'm going to be," Orlando says, jingling his keys. "Are you sure you've got everything? Camera? I want to see pics!"

"Yup, I triple checked everything," Will grins. "So if I've forgotten anything, it's my own fault."

"I suppose you can always buy what you need. It's not like you're going to the wilderness."

Orlando's trying to keep smiling. He hates Will leaving, but it's for a very good reason.

"L.A. is kind of a jungle, though," Will says, smiling at his lame joke. He picks up his bag, then grabs Orli's hand. "I wish I could put you in my carry on."

Orlando squeezes his hand. "I do too, but it's all right. You'll be home in a few days."

Will nods, trying to remember that it really is only a few days.

"And when I get home," he says as they make their way to Orlando's SUV, "I'll cling to your leg for a while."

Orlando laughs. "But not hump it, right?" He grins as they get in the vehicle.

"Right," Will laughs. "Not until I get the all clear from the lesbians."

As they set out for the airport, Will finds himself thinking about what had happened before with Orli's acquaintance. He's been able to let go of the anger because Alan's not worth his energy any more than any other ignorant son of a bitch is, but he can't let go of the damage the bastard had managed to do.

"Are you going to tell Janice about what happened with Shore?" he finally asks.

Orlando sighs. "I suppose I have to."

Will rests a hand on Orlando's knee. "Good. I'm really glad you're seeing her," he says softly. "As much as I'd like to think I can fix everything for you, I know I can't."

Orlando pats Will's hand. "Too bad she can't fix anything either. All she can do is tell me how unrealistic I am."

Will laughs softly. "I hated her, too, you know. When I saw her, I was blaming everyone else for the fact that I'd stayed in the closet. It wasn't pretty, but she did end up helping me."

Orlando glances over in surprise. "You hated her? Wow, that makes me feel better."

"I did," Will nods. "I expected to see someone who'd pat my hand and tell me how cruel the world could be. Instead she basically told me to shut up and take responsibility for my own actions."

"I am totally buggered, then," Orlando says with a laugh.

"Aww, baby," Will says, leaning over to kiss Orli's cheek, "you'll be fine. She also worked to make sure that I wasn't accepting undue blame, so hang in there."

Orlando smiles again. "I hope you're right. I hate this unsettled feeling."

"I think that it'll help once we start traveling," Will says. "There are too many unsettling things here."

"I suppose," Orlando says. "I just know I've got to learn to live with things, no matter where I am physically."

"You will." Will gives Orli's knee a squeeze. "Just remember that the only people who are happy one hundred percent of the time are either insane or heavily medicated. Neither of those is something I look for in a spouse. And this is all about me," he adds with a blush and a giggle.

Orlando can't help but laugh at that. "You're daft," he says affectionately. "I don't know what I'll do without you!"

Will puts an arm around Orlando's shoulders, and touches his head to Orli's. "Same here," he says. "L.A.'ll be the farthest I've been from you since we got back from Scotland. What if I implode on the plane or something?"

Orlando smiles fondly. "I hear airport security frowns on that, so you'd better not."

"I can't make any promises," Will sighs, "but I'll do my best." He nuzzles Orli's ear, making sure to get his fix while he can. "It's too bad we can't have a dramatic goodbye at the gate."

Orlando grins. "We can sit in the parking garage for a bit. I'm not letting you go until I've had plenty of kisses."
