FYI - Public post - OOC
(from my mun journal, slightly edited)
If anyone's wondering why Will flocked his LJ, it's because he's feeling a bit paranoid about Kevin. (Oops, I need to have him unfriend Kev!) I'm going to sort out some details later. But I never thought twice about his flist being part of his "reality" until another mun had her pup mention the fact that Will had unfriended him when I'm the one who was messing around with Will's flist. *g* Instead of breaking the fourth wall and telling the mun that the friending stuff had nothing to do with her pup, I just had Will go along with it (which has turned out really well). And now flocking his journal is just another part of making him a real person since his journal is real in every other way for him, and who hasn't flocked their jounal at one time or another? Uh, if that makes sense... Well, I know what I mean, anyway.
Let me add: It may sound weird, but some of you will understand when I say that Will's a real person. He's got his moods and his annoyances and his LJ is just as personal and important to him as mine is to me. I'm going to start taking it as a compliment if someone confuses his actions for mine because that means I'm making him a very real person who is realistically imperfect, stressed, etc.
Last thing - I find it really funny that there's a tendency to confuse a pup's actions with a mun's when something negative happens. No one's ever accused a mun of being nice, sweet, loving or patient because his or her pup is that way. Why the double standard? Hypothetical question, btw.
ETA: My brain's been fried from NO friggin' sleep, and I should still be making OOC and RP posts public. It's only Will's journal entries/musings/memes (anything he'd be afraid for Kevin to see) that have to be locked in order to be true to his current situation. Got it? Good, because I don't know how to make it clearer. :-) This announcement will be on all the entries I'm unlocking so I don't get any "I thought his LJ was locked" griping.

OOC
By the way, you needn't worry about this mun going off her nut because of something that happen in RP. I've been doing RPG in one form or another for almost 20 years (Shhhh, don't tell anybody I admitted to being an old fart.). RP play and real life have always been completely separate to me. And in case I haven't said it before, I absolutely adore Will!

And, okay: I accuse you of being nice, sweet, loving AND patient. ;) I know you actually ARE this way, though, not just 'accusing' you of it. ♥

OOC
As for the hypothetical question...all I can say is WORD.
Oh, and I really need to get an OOC icon for Mark. :D

((hugs)) Will does what he does, and trust me when I say I'm well aware of the fact that it had nothing to do with you. We might be able to give you some clues into what their thinking, but that doesn't mean we can control it.

But yeah, I completely understand what you mean about Will being his own person. If people confuse RL with RP it becomes bad which is why I never operate that way and try my best to play with nice people like yourself who also operate that way.
I'm sorry if this sounded creepy!

H is totally real and we have huge arguments ...! Sometimes in the supermarket. atlantis_flyboy's mun says the same thing. I had to persuade H to lock his LJ much against his will - he wants to meet the world. But one of his friends (he plays on Yahoo as well) decided to edit his memoirs with a view to publishing and publishers don't like things to have been 'previously published'. Fortunately, the thought of being in print (maybe, one day) appealed so strongly to his vanity that he let me lock the journal! He has had huge rows with other 'muses' - mostly ones met through TM - maybe it's so big and such a melting pot that there are all sorts of different groups. It's really hard to tell at first - you can't exactly issue a questionnaire, even once you've worked out the questions that should be asked! More to the point, some of his friends have had horrendous experiences - makes you wonder what world the muns inhabit! Incidentally, I wouldn't have noticed that Will's journal was f'locked if you hadn't mentioned it ...
BTW, it's currently so cold here that he's hibernating - assuming he got back OK from the party ...And Yarrow is still badgering me about Legolas, when he's awake. A muse who uses another muse's LJ is a problem - I can see having to give him his own!
Sorry this comment appeared and disappeared and reappeared rapidly - I managed to 'bold' the whole lot, not just the OOC heading. :)
