I think I'm mature about things like work and taking care of my family because I have to be. I plan on being a very mature husband because of the commitment involved. But everything else has got to have a side of goofball or I'll go crazy!

Come to think of it, I don't think I know anyone who is overly mature... Responsible yes but not really mature. Then again, I associate mature to stuffy and not knowing how to have fun.

That's kind of the way I see it, too. My mom's responsible but not overly mature. And I don't think that's a bad thing. My dad was a hardass who never had any fun. Maturity's overrated.

I don't think it's a bad thing either. Both of my parents were like your Mom. I think that had a lot to do with keeping us close over the years. We always had fun together.
