My real New Year's resolutions

As great as that one about wearing my underwear outside my clothes was, I think I should make some real ones:

1) I would like to be a nicer person. I have this bitchy side to me that I only started noticing this year. There's no telling how long I've had it! I should be more conscious of it.

2) If something's bothering me about someone, I am going to talk to them directly instead of fretting over it in silence. My overactive imagination is not always a good thing.

3) I'm going to try and be more objective about the people who are the most important to me. But since Orlando and Mom are perfect, I'm not sure if it'll make a difference. (That was a joke, by the way. I know they're not perfect. Though, Orli is absolutely perfect for me.)

4) If Orli raises a hand to me, I'll leave him. I know he won't. God, I can't even imagine it. But I was stupid enough to stay with a man who treated me badly and I didn't leave until things got out of control. I suppose I'm just saying that this year I'm going to stand up for myself more than I have in the past. Honestly, I know that Orli would never, never, ever, never, ever, ever, never, never, ever hit me. He might spank me, but that's a different resolution.

5) I'm going to try and stop being angry at certain people. Being upset when I think about them only hurts me. I need to let it go no matter how painful it is to try and forgive them for the things they've done.

6) I want to meditate more to help with no. 5.

7) I want to be the best husband, son, brother and friend that I can be.

8) I want to learn Spanish.

9) I want to take singing lessons.

10) I want to try new things in the bedroom on a regular basis. I also want to make a habit of telling you something I love about you every day. And I definitely resolve to never go to bed upset.
